About the Applied Energy Research Center

The Applied energy Center was initially funded by a Keystone Innovation Starter Kit Grant received from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.  This center engages the technical resources of Penn State Erie the Behrend College’s School of Engineering and its undergraduate students.  The center is located within Behrend’s Research and Economic Development Center (REDC).

Mission

The mission of the Applied Energy Research Center at Penn State Behrend is to provide unique and innovative solutions to the problem confronting industry of continually increasing energy costs.

Capabilities

The Applied Energy Research Center is located within the School of Engineering and has dedicated laboratory and testing facilities to conduct its applied research.  In addition, it has immediate access to supporting laboratory facilities located within the school.
