The School conducts service related outreach by:
- Promoting community service awareness of changing engineering technologies through its School Speaker Series
- Linking faculty expertise to interested community organizations through the College's Speaker Directory
- Engaging faculty in the administration, policy,
and technical support of local, regional, and national technical
societies such as:
- American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
- American Society of Engineering Educations (ASEE)
- Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE)
- Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME)
- Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
- American Foundry Society (AFS)
- Society for Materials Engineers (ASM)
- Promoting engineering and engineering technology as a career choice through faculty visits to community secondary schools and through related on-campus programs
- Providing periodic updates of interests to the community through WPSE Radio
