My main research focus area is in the area of mechanical design specifically as it applies to the design of health care surgical and infection control equipment  Below are some of my projects

New product development

Developed design concept and fabricated prototype of a low cost minor surgical luminaire for AMSCO International, 1994.

Developed the design concept and fabricated prototypes of a low cost small steam sterilizer for NuMED Corp., 1992.

Designed an optical system employed in a new surgical light.  The American Sterilizer Company commercially introduced the product in 1991.
