Applied Research & Design Center (ARDC)

MISSION

The mission of the Applied Research & Design Center at Penn State Erie is to provide engineering and technical support to business, industries, and organizations of northwest Pennsylvania. Since the center is dedicated to contributing to the advancement of engineering and technology, it seeks applied research and development projects that improve the productivity and competitive position of its consituents.

PARTNERS

To better serve the business and organizations in the Northwestern Pennsylvania tri-state region, the center has formed partnerships that provide access to technical expertise in a variety of fileds. These partnerships allow the center to carry out cooperative programs when appropriate. The following partnerships are in place:

Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PENNTAP)

PENNTAP provides free scientific and technological assitance and information to help resolve specific technical questions or problems.

Plastics Technology Center (PTC)

PTC provides design and manufacturing technical assistance to the plastics industry.
