The Behrend College Choral Program
Students currently have two opportunities for singing in a choral ensemble at Penn State Behrend: the Behrend College Concert Choir, and the Behrend College Chamber Choir. Members of both ensembles come from a variety of backgrounds and academic pursuits, but all share a common love for music and an interest in attaining high-level, quality performance experiences. Choir is open to all students who can demonstrate the following: an ability to match pitch and vowel sounds, a love for music, and a commitment to excellence.
The choirs at Penn State Behrend have performed locally with the Erie Philharmonic, and abroad in New York's Carnegie Hall and at various venues in Italy.
For more information about choral opportunities at Penn State Behrend, please contact Dr. Jason Bishop, Director of Choral Ensembles, at (814) 898-6078, or by e-mail at djb46@psu.edu.
