Attention Science and Technology Majors! The New Economy Technology Scholarship Program is available to Pennsylvania residents who are majoring in any science or technology related majors at Penn State Behrend. Scholarships are up to $3,000 per year. Eligible students must have a 3.0 and be in a declared science or technology related program of study. There is an internship and work requirement as well. Attention Business Majors! The Lawrence and Elizabeth Held Scholarship Program will be available to students who have declared majors in the Sam and Irene Black School of Business at Penn State Behrend and who are also members of the Schreyer Honors College. This program will guarantee a combination of grant and scholarship funding valued at full-time Pennsylvania resident tuition and mandatory fees for eligible students. Gibson Foundation offers low interest educational loans to residents of western Pennsylvania. Applications are only available through a scheduled interview. They are not available through the mail or on line. For additional information and eligibility requirements review their web site or call them at 412-261-1611. 2008-09 Penn State Behrend Scholarship Awarding Process The 2008-09 scholarships will be awarded to Penn State Behrend students at the conclusion of the Spring 2008 semester. Students are automatically considered for most of our scholarship opportunities. There are some scholarships that give priority to students who work or whose parents work at various companies in the area. Student must apply separately for those funds. Applications are available on our web site and must be submitted to the Penn State Behrend Financial Aid Office by February 1, 2008. Students Encouraged to Use eLion and PSU Email Accounts A reminder to all students that most financial aid and scholarship information is now being sent to your PSU email account. Students are encouraged to check your email at least weekly. You can have your PSU email forwarded to another personal email account if you prefer. Students can access their Penn State email anywhere there is internet access by visiting Penn State's WebMail. All students can view their financial aid status and bursar account on eLion, Penn State's hub for interactive applications.
