High School Requirements for Admission
To
an Associate Degree Program
English: Four units, including one unit each of composition and literature.
Foreign Language/Social Studies/Art/Humanities: Five units in any combination of these areas are required. Two units of the same foreign language are recommended for all programs.
Science: Two units.
Mathematics: Two units. General Business: Requires two units of mathematics, including one unit of algebra and one additional unit of mathematics. Plane geometry is recommended. Letters, Arts, and Sciences: Requires two units of mathematics, selected from any combination of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, or general mathematics. Engineering Technology: Requires two units of mathematics, including one unit of algebra and one unit in any combination of advanced algebra, plane geometry, solid geometry, or trigonometry.
Nursing: Requires one unit of algebra and one additional unit of mathematics. Students should also have one unit each in biology and chemistry.
