In 2005, new team records...the team posted an impressive 12-0 mark on their home diamond this season ...over the past four seasons the blue and white are  60 and 9  on their home turf, while collecting 98 wins against 26 losses since 1996!...the blue and white recorded 27 wins this spring—third most in a single-season behind the ECAC Championship teams of 2003 & 2002…the team ranked 1st in the conference for the second straight season with a era of 3.39 and is the 14th best in the history of the program...the squad’s knocked 339 singles this season and set a new mark while the 427 hits this season are third most…the.323 team batting average is sixth best and the 69 doubles are second most in a season...the 226 runs batted in are fifth most in a season, while the 263 runs are sixth most in a season…the blue and white held opponents to a .249 batting average which led the league as did the strike-outs looking with 110! The pitching staff led the AMCC in runners picked off for the second year in a row and logged 255 strike-outs—the second most in a season behind the 268 K’s the 2003 staff collected…the ten team shut-outs was another new record.

In 2005, new individual records...senior Vince Canzano played finished his accomplished career with 376 assists—number one on the charts, Dave Williams had been the all-time leader with 362…Canzano played in his 158th career game—second to only Jake Boyle who played in 160 … Mike Stetz and Canzano hit .389 and .386 respectively good enough for 11th and 14th best averages in a single-season—players continue to chase the .493 average Adam Best earned in 2003…Stetz and Canzano’s 56 hits in 2005 led the league and are tied for 6th most in a season … Shane Elzer picked-up four triples to pass Boyle’s record of 17 on the all-time charts…sugar shane also managed to drive in 36 runners and is 9th on the single-season charts… Greg Samson was 21-for-21 in stolen bases last spring and is listed as eighth best in a season behind Quinn McGuire’s 30 swipes in 1996…Tony Kordecki and Elzer each banged out four triples to lead the AMCC …Chris McCartney, Brian Binder and Jason Shaffer ranked 2-3-4 in the league in holding opponents to a low batting average at .205, .210, and .213 … Cazano led the AMCC in assists with 129 while Elzer’s fielding percentage of 1.000 was tied atop the league’s defensive stat list … Shane Scott appeared in 15 games on the mound this spring—third most by a pitcher in a single-season…Shaffer worked in 36 games – fourth on the books, white picking up 123 K’s good for 5th all-time … Senior Matt Szymanski concluded his career with 9 wins—13th all-time, and pitched 106 1/3 innings—14th on the all-time charts.

In 2002
, the team set a number of records in addition to winning the ECAC Southern Division Championship. The Behrend Lions were 21-3 at home and 8-2 at neutral  sites . the 35 team wins breaks the 1999 school record of 26 .the 2002 squad was an offensive juggernaut-the .339 batting  average eclipsed last year's school record of .335 . the 379 runs scored is better than the 293 scored in 2000 . all-time offensive marks were set for hits with 351, 329 singles, 78 doubles, 19 triples and 25 round- trippers ... the 302 RBIs is a new mark breaking the mark of 236 in 2000

The team walked 196 times-the previous record of 161 was set in 2000 .  the pitching staff's 250 strikeouts broke the school mark of 240 for pitching K's set in 2001 and 1998 ...over the past six seasons the blue and white are  59 and 20 on their home turf, while collecting 124 wins  against 71 losses overall . five times this year the team earned  13 or more RBIs and in ten games earned more than 15 hits, while the pitching staff took down nine plus hitters on eight separate occasions . the team set the record for RBIs in a game with 19 against Penn State Altoona.

New Individual Records in 2002

Chris Shearer fielded 156 chances and did not make an error all season tying the mark with a perfect fielding percentage in a season . Ryan Seyler's 164.6 Innings Pitched, T.J. Aldrich's 158.3 IP, and Kevin Dubyak's 123.6 IP have them ranked 2nd , 4th, and 10 respectively on the all-time books, while their 115, 148, and 99 K's also have them in the top ten on the all-time charts-each of their win totals have them ranked in the top four chasing hall of fame member Al Maki's 16 career wins.

Jake Boyle's career BA is number one all-time at .407, Jason Karas hit .389 during his two seasons, while Adam Best is active at .390 and climbing . Boyle holds the record with 35 HRs and is atop the RBI total list with 188, Karas is second with 101 . Keith Lepionka and Karas played in 43 games this season, establishing a new mark, while Luke Bundy's 139 GP is tied for fourth all-time with former Behrend standout Jeremy Brubaker.

Lepionka's 293 put-outs is number-one in a single season while Vince Canzano's 88 assists are fifth most in a year . Jake Boyle's 59 runs scored is a new mark-eclipsing his previous marks of 48 & 49, Craig Ottaviani's 46 runs in 2001 is fourth best . Boyle is also number one in a career with 198, Matt Slavonic ('98-01) is second with 141 . Jason Karas drove home 52 runners this year breaking his previous mark of 49 .Chris Shearer's .411 batting average was third best in a season with a minimum of 95 ABs-Jake Boyle is #1 with a .430 average in 1999 and Hall of Famer Gerry Simon is #2 with a  .429 average in 1980

Ryan Seyler's 1.36 ERA moved him in front of Al Maki's 1.44 ERA in 1977 . Seyler's 8 Ws on the mound moved him in front of Maki's 7-1 mark in 1977, Mark Lytle's 7-1 mark in 1971, and Rob Green's 7-1 mark in 1998 . Charlie Sevin appeared in 59 games on the mound during his career and is number-one all-time.Brian Pifer is fourth all-time with 32 games under his belt.

In 2001, as a team Penn State Behrend was  4-1 at home and 7-6 at neutral sites . the .335 batting average is a record eclipsing the 1998 club's .332 average .the 2001 squad scored 285 runs which is second best to the 293 scored a year before . the 18 wins are the fifth most in college history ... we just missed setting a record for hits in a season with 379 - it is third most behind the 380 team hits in 1999 & 2000 ...we set a new mark for doubles with 67 . the Behrend Lions' 223 RBIs are fourth most in a season . the pitching staff's 240 strike outs tied the school mark set in 1998 . over the past five seasons the blue and white are 38 and 17 on their home turf, while collecting 89 wins against 63 losses overall . five times this year the team earned 15 + hits or more and had six different pitchers strike out nineplus hitters nine times.

Jake Boyle has 28 career home runs in three seasons -- Joe Fornear's 15 is second and in fourth is Keith Lepionka (8) .Ryan Seyler's 98.6 Innings Pitched, T.J. Aldrich's 96.0 IP, and Kevin Dubyak's 78.0 IP have them ranked 9th-10th and 18th respectively on the all-time books, while their 75, 96, and 64 K's also have them in the top twenty on the all-time charts .Matt Slavonic concluded his career playing in 151 games slipping by Dave Williams (150), Jeremy Brubaker (139), CoreyWalters (134) for the blue, white and red-surpassing Quinn McGuire (124), Jake Boyle (119), Marc Burchanowski (117) and Reese Wetzel (110) . Keith Lepionka's 218 total chances this season are the third most in history .Chris Shearer and Luke Bundy were tough behind the plate fielding at a .987 and .983 clip this year-for their efforts both are in the top five for fielding percentage in a season  with a minimum of 100 chances.Jake Boyle hit .400 and Jason Karas hit .386 this year so they earned the 4th and 7th best single-season averages in baseball history . Boyle's .415 average is best on the all-time career chart . Karas drove in 49 runners this season and tied Boyle's single season mark .Craig Ottaviani scored 46 runs this season which is third most in a season .Charlie Sevin appeared in 13 games in 2001 and now has pitched in 45 games for the Behrend Lions .Matt Slavonic is now ranked number one all-time for runs scored with 141 passing Jeremy Brubaker's ('97-00) 125, and Slavonic is also number one all-time on the hits chart with 176 clipping Brubaker's figure of 172.Adam Best and Tony Azzato hit .371 and .370 in their freshman seasons . five players earned AMCC honors this past season-Boyle, Lepionka, Seyler, Karas, and Slavonic.earning all-amcc academic honors were Jake Boyle, Matt Bright, Mike Couts, Ryan Seyler, and Tyler Wiand.

In 2000, we were 6-5 at home and 12-8 at neutral sites .. the 23 wins marks the third consecutive year over 20 wins ... we set a new record for hits in a season with 380, new singles record of 286, triples with 16, home runs with 21... second best in a season in the area of doubles with 57... after finishing second in the country for stolen bases per game in '98, this year's crew successfully stole 73 of 92 bases (79%) ... the .320 batting average ranks fourth best all-time . the Behrend Lions set a record for rbi's with 236, runs with 293, and walks with 161 . the pitching staff's 3.40 earned run average is tenth best on the charts, while their 230 strike outs are second only to the 240 collected in 1998 ... over the past three seasons the blue and white are 27 and 13 on their home turf, while collecting 71 wins against 43 losses overall ... the Behrend Lions finished fourth in the AMCC with a 4-6 mark and went 1-1 in the rain-shortened conference tournament.

Jake Boyle set a new single season mark for home runs with 11 and his 20 career home runs is the best ever surpassing Joe Fornear (15) . Boyle has drove in 97 runs in the past two years which makes him the career leader.Boyle's 8 triples sets a new single season mark moving ahead of Jeremy Brubaker (6) . Charlie Sevin appeared in 16 games this season as a reliever-this is third most in a season behind a pair on the '87 team, Dave Bruce pitched in 20 games, while Bob Duma threw in 17 - and Sevin's 32 appearances is third best in a career behind Ryan Frederick (36) and Shaun Headley (33).Sevin has a career 2.23 ERA which is second best to Mark Lytle (2.13) . T.J. Aldrich struck out ten or more on two occasions this season . Frederick became the leader in career innings pitched with 185.2 surpassing Al Maki (180.3) and his 155 strike outs in his career is the best ever . Kevin Dubyak was a perfect 4-0 on the mound with a team best 2.23 ERA . Ryan Seyler pitched in 48 innings and threw a two hit gem against Pitt-Bradford . Jeremy Brubaker became the career leader in runs scored (125), hits (172), doubles (39), and triples (11) .Matt Slavonic has scored 104 times which moves him into second all time behind Brubaker's (125) . Slavonic's 46 hits this season is fifth best while Brubaker (51) and Boyle (51) are tied for third . Dave Williams (150), Brubaker (139), Corey Walters (134) are 1-2-3 in games played in a career for the blue, white and red-surpassing Quinn McGuire (124), Marc Burchanowski (117) and Reese Wetzel (110) .Williams is number one all time in assists for a career with 362 and Slavonic moved to number two with 227 . Walters and Williams are #2 and #3 for hits in a career with 138 and 131 respectively and Walter's 81 RBI's is third best behind Boyle (97) and Brubaker (91).Lucas Bundy and Keith Lepionka drove in 29 runs a piece which is fourth best for a single season . five players earned AMCC honors this past season-Boyle, Brubaker, Walters, Slavonic, and Aldrich.
