Behrend's Fyffe Named AMCC Baseball Player of the Week

Penn State Behrend baseball player Josh Fyffe (Fredonia/Sharpsville) has been named the AMCC Baseball Player of the Week on April 16.  The freshman led the Behrend Lions to wins in three of the last four conference games, including coming through in the clutch with two game-winning RBIs.

At the plate, Fyffe went 8-for-14, with eight RBIs, in games against the Lake Erie Storm and Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats.  Fyffe's big week included a grand slam on April 13 against the Storm.

Fyffe is making a statement at the plate in his first season of college baseball.  He currently ranks #3 in the AMCC with a .422 batting average and #1 in hits with 35.  In addition Fyffe leads the blue and white in RBIs and total bases this season.

Behrend is scheduled to play at Thiel on April 17 and at home on April 19 against Fredonia at 2:00 p.m.
