Baseball's David Koerbel Named Behrend Athlete of the Week

Koerbel recorded his fourth straight win on Saturday, when the Behrend Lions defeated the Penn State Altoona Lions 2-0 in game one.  Dave pitched the entire seven innings, giving up only four hits and shutting out the Altoona Lions.  He came in huge, striking out ten batters and moving his team to 5-0 in AMCC play. This was Koerbel's fourth straight win with ten or more strike outs.  The blue and white would go on to win game two 7-2.  The men are now 16-4 overall, with a 6-0 mark in conference play.

The Behrend Lions will be back in action tomorrow, April 10 when they take on the Lake Erie Storm.  Action is set to begin at 1:00 p.m at the Behrend baseball field.  Then on Saturday, April 12 the men will travel to Pitt-Greensburg to take on the Bobcats.  The double-header is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
