Behrend Cruises Past Pitt-Bradford and Remains Perfect at Home

The Behrend men's basketball team improved to 7-0 in the Junker Center with an easy 71-48 victory in front of 523 fans. Behrend is 10-2 on the season and 4-1 in the AMCC.

Twenty-three appeared to be the number as Behrend was led by sophomore sensation Kevin Buczynski (Erie/Villa Maria) who led all scorers with 23 points on 8-of-10 from the floor. Seniors Justin Jennings (Cranberry/Seneca Valley) and J.J. Ferguson combined to score 23 points by nailing seven-of-thirteen from three-point territory. They also earned seven boards and passed out four assists in the twenty-three point win.

Behrend's defense was instrumental in Saturday's win. The blue and white held the league's second best offense in check, limiting the Panthers to 32% from the field. Bradford began the game making only one of their first 11 shots and fall to 6-6 and 3-2 in the conference.

The Behrend Lions will play their next three games away from home starting on January 17 when they travel to play conference foe Medaille at 8:00 p.m.  The blue and white then battle at Lake Erie and at La Roche before returning home on January 24 against Hilbert.
