Men's Basketball Team in NCAA Top-50 in Statistical Categories

The Penn State Behrend men’s basketball team remains among the elite division-three schools in numerous statistical categories.  The blue and white made the NCAA's top-50 in six areas this week.

Behrend's highest ranking continues to be in field-goal percentage, where coach Niland has his team shooting 51.0 percent from the floor, ranking them twelfth in the nation.  On the other side of the ball, Behrend comes in tied for nineteenth in overall defense.  As a team, Behrend allows only 61.0 ppg.

Other top-50 appearances came in rebounding margin (27th), field-goal percentage defense (34), scoring margin(43rd), and three-point field goal percentage (50th).

Behrend also boasts top statistical ratings among AMCC teams.  They lead the league in scoring defense (61 ppg), field-goal percentage (.510), three-point percentage (3.86), and rebounding margin (+ 7.1).

The men are off until Friday when they host La Roche in a televised game at 8:00 p.m.
