Walker Named Enterprise Rent-A-Car Athlete of the Week
Dustin Walker (Apollo/Kiski) has been named the ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR athlete of the week for the week of September 21, 2009.
Walker led his team to a 2-0 week by defeating Grove City and conference rival Frostburg State by scores of 1-0 in both games. Walker came up with big time saves in both games and recorded his second and third shutout of the season. Late in the matchup with Grove City, Walker preserved the victory by coming up with a crucial save in the final minutes to give his team the victory. With Walker leading the way, the Behrend Lions have jumped in the rankings to seventh in the Great Lakes Region.
The Behrend men's soccer team begins a three-game road test beginning on Tuesday, September 22 against Westminster and will then visit Penn State Altoona and Pitt-Bradford for two AMCC contests. The blue and white improved their record to 5-1-1 overall and 1-0 in the AMCC.
