Behrend's Walker Named ECAC Goalkeeper of the Week
Penn State Behrend senior goalkeeper Dustin Walker (Apollo/Kiski) has been named ECAC goalkeeper of the week.
Walker recorded two shutouts on the week for two Behrend Lion wins and has increased his shutout total to five. Against Grove City, Walker preserved the victory with a key save late in the game that held the Wolverines scoreless. Walker recorded his second shutout of the week against AMCC rival Frostburg in another 1 goal game.
Walker has stepped up time and again for Coach Perritano's squad so far this season and has continually put in great performances. The blue and white rely on Walker for his vocal leadership as well as his performance on the field.
With Walker leading the way, the Behrend Lions men's soccer team have jumped to seventh in the rankings of the Great Lakes Region.
Next up for the Behrend Lions will be two conference road tests starting on Saturday, September 26 at Penn State Altoona. The blue and white will then travel to Pitt-Bradford on Tuesday, September 29 for another AMCC contest. The men's soccer team is 6-1-1 overall and 1-0 in the AMCC.
