Behrend Closes Out 2006 Season With 5-0 Loss to Top-Seeded Medaille

On Wednesday, November 1, Penn State Behrend lost on the road in the 2006 AMCC Playoffs at Medaille 5-0 to conclude their season at 8-9-2.

With the win Medaille improves to 19-1 and will host the AMCC Championship game on Saturday, November 4, against the winner of the #6 Frostburg at #2 Penn State Altoona. 

Behrend, who started the year 1-5-1, finished strong posting a 7-4-1 mark down the stretch with a youthful squad. On the season, Behrend's offense was lead by sophomore Amad Salim (Cranberry/ Seneca Valley) with seven goals while freshman Adam Danch (Erie/Cathedral Prep) led the team with four assists.  In goal, a pair of freshman Thomas Reihner (Washington/Linsly School) and Dustin Walker (Apollo/Kiski Area) split time earning valuable experience and combining with sophomore Matt Dunford (Selinsgrove/ Selinsgrove) for a 1.89 goals against average.
