Behrend Men's Soccer Seeded #2 for AMCC Tournament Play

The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team is gearing up once again for the AMCC tournament.  This year the men finished the regular season with a 7-2 mark in conference play, earning the number two spot in the conference.  The men have had an impressive year, posting a 11-4-3 overall record thus far, with only post season play left.

Coach Dan Perritano believes his team is right where they need to be to bring home the AMCC Championship.  "We have a tremendous challenge ahead of us", said Perritano.  "These players set some lofty goals at the start of the season and have achieved the regular season goals.  We are now prepared to play our best soccer of the year." said Coach Perritano.  Indeed, the men have been playing some excellent soccer these past couple weeks.  In their last regular season game, the men took on #6 nationally ranked Case Western and fought to a 0-0 tie in double overtime.

"Our team is very focused and excited about playing our semifinal game at home", said Coach Perritano.

The men will receive a bye in the first round of play, but will begin tournament action on Wednesday, October 31 where they will play #3 Penn State Altoona.  The game will kick off at 3:00 p.m. at the Behrend fields.  The AMCC Championships will be held Saturday, November 3 at 2:30 p.m. at the highest remaining seeds' college.  The AMCC Champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
