Julie Koman Named AMCC Pitcher of the Week for March 13

has been named AMCC Softball Pitcher of the Week for March 13. The
freshman started her career off with a bang, winning five games and
earning two saves as the Behrend Lions went 10-0 to start their
season on their spring trip to Florida.
Koman pitched 33 innings and in that time did not give up a single
run. She struck out 53 batters, walked only five, and yielded just
15 hits. Koman struck out a high of 16 batters in a 3-0 win over
Anna Maria on March 5.
The Behrend Lions competed in Ft. Myers, Florida over the Behrend
spring break from March 5-10, winning each of their ten games and
outscoring opponents 62-16. Softball resumes play on Saturday,
March 18, when the blue and white travel to take on Bethany in a
double-header starting at 1:00 p.m.
