Softball Player Kauschauer Named Behrend Athlete of the Week
Penn State Behrend junior second base player Nikki Kashauer (South Park/South Park)
has been named the ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR athlete
of the week for the week of April 28, 2008. 
Kashauer helped lead her team to a 6-2 week that allowed the Behrend Lions to clinch the number three seed going into the AMCC Tournament Championships. Nikki connected for eight hits, while batting in six RBIs over the eight game stretch. She now has 48 hits and batted in 31 RBIs this season. The blue and white finish the 2008 regular season 27-11 overall and a 13-5 record in conference play.
The Behrend Lions will get ready for the AMCC Tournament beginning on Friday, May 2. The women will first take on the #6 Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats (8-12, 8-10) on Friday at 10:00 a.m. The tournament will be played at Hilbert College. The championship will round out on Sunday, May 4.
