Team Opens Season With Win Over Buffalo State
The Penn State Behrend men's swimming team began their season by defeating Buffalo State on the road 125-93 on November 6, 2001.
Snatching first place for the Behrend Lions
were freshmen Casey Doody (Scarborough, ME/Cape Elizabeth) in the 200
yard backstroke, Justin Lucas (Houston, TX/Cypress-Falls) in the 1650
yard freestyle, Lucas Dushac (Indiana/Indiana) in the 400 yard IM, and
Robb Christensen (Rochester/NY/Gates-Chili) in the 100 yard freestyle.
Freshman Eric Phillips (Monroeville/Gateway) and senior Jon
Harding (Tunkhannock/Wyoming Seminary) also contributed to a first
place finish in the 400 yard medley.
The Behrend Lions will continue their season at home on November 20
with a meet against Gannon University at 6:00 p.m
