Penn State Behrend Divers Sweep AMCC Weekly Awards

Penn State Behrend sophomore Krystal Kovach (Scott Township/Chartiers Valley) and junior Steve Graves (
McMurry/Peters Township) was named the AMCC Divers of the week for the week of January 12, 2009.

This is the fourth time that Kovach has notched the AMCC diver of the week. She has been an outstanding performer for the blue and white and continues reach new milestones. Kovach set a new Junker Center pool record for 3 meter 11 dives with a score of 401.90

Along with Kovach, this is also the fourth time that Graves has tallied the AMCC diver of the week.  He has been a constant performer on both the 1 and 3 meter boards. Graves won the 11 dive 1 meter competition against Edinboro with a season high score of 380.45.

The Behrend Lions will be on the road for their next two meets.  They will make the trip across town to take on the Gannon Golden Knights on January 16th starting at 5:00 p.m.  They will then travel to conference foe Penn State Altoona on the 17th.  That meet will begin at 1:00 p.m.  The blue and white will be back in the Junker Center pool on January 24th as they take on Washington and Jefferson.  The meet will be televised in the Erie area on Image Sports Network.
