Fairchild Off to Fast Start for Men's Swim Team

Penn State Behrend sophomore Dustin Fairchild (Corry/Corry) is off to an amazing start for the men’s swim team in the 2005-06 season.  He has finished in first place in each of the 15 races he has competed in this season.  Undefeated in thirteen individual races, he has also been a part of two first place finishes for Behrend relay teams.

Fairchild, who is the school record-holder in the 200 and 500 meter freestyle events, also boasts two top-10 times so far this season.  Coach Jen Wallace said, “Dustin is a hard worker and tough competitor.  His determination and ability to fight to the wall make him a pleasure to coach.”

Fairchild will be back in action with the Behrend Lions swimmers when they travel to a swim meet at Eastern Michigan University on December 2-3.  The blue and white next compete at home in the Junker Center Pool on December 8 when they host Gannon.
