Behrend's Spoto Named AMCC Men's Swimmer of the Week

Penn State Behrend's Anthony Spoto (Birmingham, MI/Seaholm) was named the AMCC Men's Swimmer of the Week on November 20.  This was the second week in a row that a Behrend athlete was selected as AMCC Men's Swimmer of the Week.

Spoto won two individual events in a tri-meet with Nazareth and Pitt-Bradford, finishing first in the 50m and the 100m freestyle.  His 50m time of 25.61 set a new team meters record.  The junior was also part of two first place relay teams.  The blue and white set new records in the 400 medley (4:25.14) and the 400 free (3:56.53).  The 400 medley relay time shattered the old Behrend record by 29 seconds.

The blue and white are currently 4-1 on the season and are next in action on December 1 and 2 when they travel to Fredonia for the Blue Devil Invitational Meet.
