Penn State Behrend Women Earn AMCC
Accolades
Penn
State Behrend swimming and diving was again represented in the AMCC
Athlete of the Week awards. Sara Breese (W.
Springfield/Northwestern) was named the AMCC Women’s Swimmer of the
Week, while Michelle Quail (Cranberry/Seneca Valley) was named the
AMCC Women’s Diver of the Week.
Sara Breese (W. Springfield/Northwestern) was the high point scorer
among all AMCC female competitors at the AMCC championship. Her
40.5 points helped lead the Behrend Lions to their first conference
championship. This is the second swimmer of the week honor
this season for the freshman.
Michelle Quail (Cranberry/Seneca Valley) was the top AMCC diver at
the Grove City Invitational and the AMCC championship. She scored
266.30 points to finish third overall. The freshman has earned
diver of the week honors a remarkable four times this season.
The Behrend
women finished with 300 points, enough to claim the inaugural AMCC crown and finish fifth overall.
The 300 points was a dominating effort, as the blue and white
finished 113 points ahead of AMCC runner-up Penn State Altoona.
