Penn State Behrend Lions Dominate Women's Swimming & Diving
All-Conference Awards

Fresh off their AMCC championship, the Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team swept all four AMCC awards and dominated the first-ever AMCC All-Conference Team.  In addition to being honored with the Swimmer, Diver, Newcomer, and Coach of the Year, the blue and white also saw seven team members claim 14 all-conference team selections in individual events while another five relay teams were honored.

Leah Haller (Ottawa, IL/Ottawa Twp. HS) was named AMCC Swimmer of the Year after earning multiple all-conference honors.  The senior was selected first-team all-conference in the 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle, and second-team all-conference in the 100 freestyle.  In addition Haller was a member of four of the five relay teams that were selected to the first-team.

Michele Quail (Cranberry/Seneca Valley) was named AMCC Diver of the Year after claiming all-conference first-team honors in both diving events.  The freshman was all-conference in both the 3 meter and 1 meter diving events. 

Colby Seibert (Milton/Milton) was named AMCC Newcomer of the Year after earning two selections to the all-conference first-team.  The freshman made the first-team in the 100 butterfly and 200 butterfly events. 

Another standout performer for the blue and white was Sarah Breese (West Springfield/Northwestern).  The sophomore was selected to the all-conference first-team in three events, the 50 freestyle, the 100 freestyle, and the 100 breaststroke.  In addition Breese was a member of four of the five relay teams that were selected to the first-team.

Second-team all-conference members included freshman Danielle Wilson (Pittsburgh/Plum) in the 500 freestyle and 1000 freestyle, freshman Jessy Bosak (Erie/Iroquois) in the 1650 freestyle, and freshman Mary Baumer (State College/State College) in the 200 breaststroke.

Behrend had five first-team all-conference relay teams.  The selections came in the 200 freestyle relay (Seibert, Wilson, Haller, Breese), the 800 freestyle relay (Breese, Wilson, Seibert, Haller), the 400 freestyle relay (Breese, Wilson, Seibert, Haller), and courtesy of the all freshman team of Kelly Finnegan (Fombell/Riverside Beaver County), Jenny LaFuria (North East/North East), Kristen Martin (Canonsburg/Canon McMillan), and Jessy Bosak in the 400 medley relay.

Fourth-year head coach Jen Wallace was also named AMCC Coach of the Year after leading her group of young swimmers and divers to the first-ever AMCC Championship.
