Penn State Behrend To Host District 10 Swimming Championships

The Penn State Behrend Junker Center Pool will be host to the best swimmers in District 10 this weekend.  The D-10 Swimming Championships will be held in the Junker Center pool this Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3.

On Friday, swimmers for AAA schools will compete.  The following teams will have swimmers competing: Cathedral Prep, East, McDowell, Meadville, Strong Vincent, and Warren.  On Saturday, the AA school swimmers get their chance to shine.  Conneaut Lake, Corry, Fairview, Farrell, Franklin, General McLane, Girard, Grove City, Harbor Creek, Hickory, Iroquois, Kennedy Catholic, Mercer, Mercyhurst, North East, Northwestern, Oil City, Sharon, Slippery Rock, Titusville, Union City, Villa, and Wilmington will be represented.

On Friday, doors open at 3:30 p.m. with the meet set to begin at 4:30 p.m.  On Saturday, doors open at 8:30 a.m. with the meet set to begin at 10:00 a.m.  To accommodate the large crowd expected, spectators will be required to check their coats and outside chairs will not be permitted in the Junker Center.
