Behrend's Swimming and Diving Team Help Erie City Mission

Penn State Behrend's men and women's swimming and diving teams collected over 500 articles of clothing to benefit the Erie City Mission.  The swimmers and divers enlisted the help of their fellow students as well as campus faculty and staff.  Just one day of door to door donation requests revealed what a caring and generous community the Behrend campus fosters.

This is the third community service program the team has done together this season.  "I am so very proud of the team for thinking beyond themselves and their efforts to make a difference," said coach Jen Wallace.

The team will next travel to south to Pittsburgh on Friday, January 18 to take on the Cougars from Chatham University.  Competition is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.  The next day the team will travel to Frostburg for a tri-meet against Penn State Altoona at 2:00 p.m.  These three teams have battled for the top spot in the AMCC since the beginning of the program in 2006.  Currently, the Behrend Lions lead in both the men's and women's standings.
