Q & A With Behrend Swimming and Diving Head Coach Jen Wallace

1. WHAT IS YOUR GENERAL THOUGHT ON WHERE YOUR TEAM STANDS RIGHT NOW?

I believe the team is in a great spot right now. With four athletes already qualified for ECAC Championships and one with a NCAA consideration standard, we have been performing better at this point in the season than in years past. This is very exciting. We have had our share of ups and downs, but they only made us more resilient and better prepared to deal with the remainder of our season.

2. WHO IS PERFORMING WELL FOR THE TEAM?

That is a tough question because we have so many team members performing well. Throughout the season, each team member has grown into and excelled at the roles we have asked them to take on.

3. WHAT IS YOUR TEAM'S STRENGTH RIGHT NOW? DID YOU EXPECT TO BE AS GOOD IN THIS AREA AS YOU ARE?

Without a doubt our diving events, they are the strongest they have been in five years. However, I would not consider any other area a weakness. Individual improvements are being made daily to strengthen each role and fortify any imperfections.

4. WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE HEADING INTO THE STRETCH RUN AND CHAMPIONSHIPS?

Now is the time for fine tuning and focus. Focus not only from the individuals on themselves and their events but their focus on the team. Together we are stronger.
