Behrend Swimmers and Divers Setting New Marks The Penn State Behrend Swimming and Diving Teams are in the midst of building years, yet they are still managing to write new pages in the Behrend record books. Twenty-four new records have been set in a total of nine individual events and one relay, and the top ten lists in nearly every event have seen drastic changes as the swimmers and divers continue to improve upon their personal bests. "We have a young, outstanding group of student-athletes, and are hoping to gain some key recruits to develop a stronger team," said head coach Jen Slack. "The women are 3-7 for the season, their best dual meet record ever, while the men are 4-6." The teams will wrap up their fourth season of competition February 12-14 at the Grove City Invitational Championships. Every Behrend Lion swimmer and diver will look to set personal bests at the meet, while a few of the team's best athletes will look to prolong their season by qualifying for the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships, which are to be held this year at the University of Pittsburgh. |
