Mudrey Named AMCC Tennis Player of the Week (10/17/05)

Penn State Behrend's Allison Mudrey (Hermitage/Hickory) has been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) tennis player of the week.  The sophomore completed an outstanding season in 2005, leading the Behrend Lions to their second consecutive AMCC Championship.

Mudrey earned the #1 singles title for the second year in a row, and remains unbeaten in conference play for her career at a stellar 16-0 in the AMCC.  This season, she came through with another fantastic showing, finishing with an overall record of 16-1 for entire 2005 season. 

Mudrey teamed with junior Mindy Calvert (Warren/Warren) to earn the #1 doubles title as well.  The duo was also undefeated in conference play this season (6-0) and overall lost only a single match all season.  Behrend women’s tennis finished the season 13-3 overall and a perfect 6-0 in AMCC action.
