Amber Weckoski Named AMCC Tennis Athlete of the Week
Penn State Behrend's Amber Weckoski (Johnstown/Forest Hills) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for her performances during the week of September 2, 2003.
Weckoski, a sophomore who was named to the AMCC second-team as a freshman, is undefeated at first singles and first doubles through a pair of matches for the blue adn white. Behrend opened the 2003 season with a 5-4 win over Westminster and lost 7-2 to Waynesburg.
Next up for the Behrend Lion's is a match against Hiram on September
11 and then the program hosts several teams in its annual Behrend
Tennis Invitational on Saturday, September 13.
