Behrend Men's Tennis Heads to Hilton Head After Falling to Grove City

The Behrend men head south on Saturday, March 10 looking to turn things around after dropping three of their last four matches.  The men sit at 2-4 on the season after their most recent loss to Grove City, 6-3.

Behrend held their own in singles competition against the Wolverines.  Scott Shaw (Tulsa, OK/Jenks) and Miles Boyea (St. Vincent, WI/Upper Canada) took number one and number two singles respectively.  Trevor Dougherty (Meadville/Meadville) took sixth-flight singles as the two teams split singles at wins a piece.  Dougherty has won his last four singles match-ups from the sixth-flight position in the lineup.  The Wolverines went on to sweep all three doubles matches and took the match 6-3.

Behrend typically faces the toughest competition of their season down in Hilton Head, and should return better prepared for a four game home stand that includes three conference match-ups and starts on March 24.
