Women's Tennis Dominates Waynesburg 9-0
On
Saturday, September 15, Penn State Behrend tennis team hosted the
Waynesburg Yellow Jackets on the newly remodeled Tennis Courts.
In Singles play, all members enjoyed victories in their matches. Winners on the day included Allison Mudrey (Hermitage/Hickory), Christy Calvert (Warren/Mercyhurst Prep), Hillary Lasher (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern), Karen Hobaugh (Kutztown/Kutztown), Erin Bliley (Erie/Mercyhurst Prep), and Elissa Swartz (Warren/Warren).
During Doubles action, the blue and white continued
to outplay Waynesburg, winning all three doubles matches. The
Behrend Lions went on to win 9-0, improving their record to 6-0 on
the season.
Up next for the women, they will travel to West Virginia on Sunday,
September 16 to take on the Bethany Bison at 2:00 p.m.
