Track and Field Weekend Round-Up The Behrend Lions men's and women's track teams were in action this weekend at the Case Western Invitational. The men's team placed second and the women's team finished fifth out of seven teams. The men's team qualified another athlete for the ECAC Championships. Senior pole vaulter Donnie Hackworth (Monroeville/Gateway High School) recorded a height of 14' to qualify for the championships which will be held at St. Lawrence University on March 4 and 5. There were three first placed finishes for the men's team. Isiah Meek (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley High School) triumphed in the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 7.95 along with Jon McKinney in the triple jump with a distance of 13.08-meters. Donnie Hackworth's ECAC qualifying pole vault performance rounded up the winners. The women's team enjoyed similar fortunes with two athletes taking home three first-placed spots. Junior Staci Banaszek (Erie/Harborcreek High School) did the double in the long jump and triple jump with distances of 5.11 and 10.80-meters respectively.
