Track and Field Opens Season at Slippery Rock Invitational

The Penn State Behrend Track & Field Team will begin its season Saturday, January 21 at Slippery Rock University.  The all-day invite will begin at 10:00 a.m. and feature some of the best competition around the region. 

For Behrend, the indoor invite will be the first competition of the season and the first of three straight weeks that the team will travel to meets.  The team will also be in competition Saturday, January 28 at Case Western as well as Saturday, February 4 at Mount Union.

Leading the way for the blue and white will be 2006 captains Staci Banaszek (Erie/Harborcreek), Shane Rock (McKean/General McLane), Dennis Scheuer (McKean/General McLane), Harry Balwick (Erie/McDowell), and Francis Kargo (Burke, VA/J.W. Robinson), all of whom hold at least one school record at Behrend.
