Track and Field To Compete in Jim Thorpe Invitational
The Penn State Behrend Track & Field team will travel to University Park this weekend to compete at the Jim Thorpe Invitational on Saturday, March 30. The team was originally scheduled to run at the Geneva Invitational.
Runners to look for are newcomers Jessica Sarver (Freeport/Freeport), Amanda VanTassel (Corry/Corry), and Isiah Meek (Wayne/Wayne). Along with senior high jumper Jay Davids (Union City/Seneca) and the men's 4 x 200 meter relay team consisting of Bill McKinney (Union City/Union City), Keith Cerroni (Erie/Central), Mike Barlett (Erie/Iroquois), and Dave Ober (Pittsburgh/Baldwin).
The track and field season continues with the Case Western Reserve Invitational on April 6 and the Western PA Championships at Geneva on April 13.
