Track and Field Continues to Set School
Records and Qualify for ECACs The men were led by their relay teams. Both the 4 x 100 meter and 4 x 800 meter relay teams finished second, with times of 43.35 and 8:18.20 respectively. The 4 x 100 team's time was a new school record and enough to qualify them for the ECAC Championships. Mike Ferraro (Erie/Harborcreek) was part the 4 x 100 meter team and also excelled individually with two top-5 finishes in the 100 and 200 meter dash events. Dan Mitchell (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) heaved the javelin 53.44 meters and is now also qualified for the ECACs. The men finished with a total of 47 points, The women's team was paced by Kim Chapman (Cranberry Township/Seneca Valley) and Lisa Brozewicz (Wattsburg/Seneca). Chapman won the 400 meter hurdles event with a time of 1:07.01 and qualified for the ECACs in the process. Brozewicz broke a Behrend record for the second consecutive week in the 3000 meter steeplechase, with a time of 12:37.70. Track and field will be in action again next Saturday, April 7 at the Mt. Union Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m
