Two School Records Broken at Slippery Rock Invitational On the women's side, Jenny Bailey (Corry/Corry) placed third in the 5000 meter run with an ECAC qualifying time of 18:51.60. Also qualifying for ECACs was the 4 x 100 meter relay team. Lisa Brozewicz (Wattsburg/Seneca) broke her own school record in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 12:34.42. The 4 x 100 meter relay team highlighted for the men's team with an ECAC qualifying time of 43.07 seconds. The time rebroke the team's school record which they previously held at 43.35 seconds. The team consisted of Doug Stevenson (Sharpsville/Sharpsville), Phil Stuczynski (Girard/Girard), Vinnie Krawiec (Erie/McDowell), and Mike Ferraro (Erie/Harborcreek). Ferraro also had two top-5 finishes in individual events. He placed fifth in the 100 meter dash (11.43 seconds) and third in the 200 meter dash (23.32 seconds). The Slippery Rock Invite marked the fourth of the year with just one more remaining on Saturday, April 21 before a series of championships kick off beginning on May 4 with the Mason Dixon Championships at Frostburg State.
