Mike Ferraro Named Behrend Lions Athlete of the Week
Penn State Behrend sophomore Mike Ferraro (Erie/Harborcreek) has been named the ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR athlete of the week for the week of March 3, 2008.
Ferraro
has been a force for the Behrend Lions track team, breaking three school
records over the course of the indoor track season. Earlier this
season he set a new 60m sprint record of 7.00 seconds. This
weekend he tied the 55m dash record, sprinting to the finish line in 6.51
seconds. He also aided in a new Behrend record in the 4 x 160m relay.
The track and field team concluded their indoor season with their last meet at Mt. Union. The men and women will gear up for the spring break trip to Florida for training. At the end of training, the team will go to Costal Carolina on March 14 and 15 for their first invitational of the outdoor season.
