Behrend's Stevenson Named to Division III All-Academic Team
Junior
Douglas Stevenson (Sharpsville/Sharpsville) was named to the 2008
Division III All-Academic Track and Field team. Stevenson was one of 166
student-athletes representing 72 institutions nationwide that was selected
to this distinguished team. He compiled an impressive 3.54 cumulative GPA
while competing for the blue and white. The junior also ran an NCAA
provisional qualifying time of 41.87 seconds in the 4X100m relay.
To be recognized as an United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic member the student-athlete must have compiled a 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have met the NCAA Division III Indoor or Outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard in their respective event.
The women’s track and field team was also honored to the Division III All-Academic Team. The women compiled a collective GPA of 3.13. To be placed on this team they need to earn a GPA of 3.1 or better.
