Penn State Behrend Men's Track &
Field Team Ranked #15 in National Poll
The
Penn State Behrend men's track and field team was ranked #15 in the
latest national Division III poll produced by the United States
Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
This ranking comes on the heels of a first place finish on April 4
at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational, in which the Behrend men
exploded to win the 13-team meet.
Head coach Greg Cooper said, "This is the highest ranking
ever for our men's team at Behrend. It is exciting to receive
recognition for the hard work our athletes have put in and this
shows the balance and strength of our team in a variety of events."
The Penn State Behrend Lions received a score of 158.79 points in
the USTFCCCA poll voting. Susquehanna is the only Pennsylvania
team ranked higher in the poll, just ahead of the blue and white at
#14.
The blue and white will look to continue to build their resume with
strong performances at the Slippery Rock Invitational on Saturday,
April 11 and at Westminster Invitational on Saturday, April 18.
