Penn State Behrend's Mandy Wehrle (Rossiter, PA/Punxsutawney) has been named the Enterprise RENT-A-CAR Athlete of the week for the week of May 4, 2009.

Wehrle earned three all-conference honors at the Mason Dixion Championships hosted by Frostburg State. 

Wehrle won the 400 meter run in :59.56 and also earned all-conference honors in the 4 x 100 meter relay and the 4 x 400 meter relay.

The Penn State Behrend men's and women's track and field teams each took third place at the Mason-Dixon Conference Championships.  The third place finish matched the best men's finish ever and was a new best for the women's team.  The men earned 105 points, while Salisbury won the meet with 200.  The women earned 98 points, while Frostburg State won with 123.

The track and field teams will next compete at the Allegheny Invitational on May 8 followed by the ECAC Championships May 14-15 at Springfield College.
