Behrend Volleyball Set to Host Invitational Tournament
The Penn State Behrend women’s volleyball team plays its home opener Friday, September 2 as part of the 2005 Behrend Volleyball Invitational.
Behrend will open with D’Youville College at 2:00 p.m. before facing Washington & Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. The squad will finish the invitational on Saturday against Principia College at 11:30 a.m. and Bethany College at 3:30 p.m.
Junior outside hitter Lisa Wagner will be looked to for another strong performance as last weekend she was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Marietta College tournament. Coach Phil Pisano said, “We’re improving each day and excited to compete at home after playing tough competition on the road last weekend.” The Behrend Lions finished 1-3 at the Marietta College tournament over Labor Day weekend.
