Voltz Honored as AMCC Volleyball Player of the Week (9/12/05)
Behrend’s Elaine Voltz (Saxonburg/Knoch) has been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) volleyball player of the week. Voltz led the Behrend Lions to a 3-1 record in the Behrend Invitational September 9 and 10.
The junior middle hitter was outstanding, totaling 72 kills over four matches with a .413 hitting percentage. Voltz also chipped in 17 blocks on her way to being named to the Behrend Invitational All-Tournament team.
The Behrend Lions are next in action at home on Wednesday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. when they host Thiel.
