Volleyball Defeats Thiel for Third Straight Victory
Behrend Volleyball rolled to a victory over visiting Thiel on Tuesday in three straight games 30-27, 30-22, 30-15. The win is the third in a row for the Behrend Lions who improve to 5-4 on the year.
Senior setter Amanda Evans (Upper St. Clair/Upper St. Clair) was solid again, contributing 35 assists, five digs, and three kills. Junior outside hitter Lisa Wagner (Laurel/New Castle) posted nine kills and 12 digs. Freshman middle hitter Jenna Benzenhoefer (Murrysville/Franklin Regional) chipped in with six kills and two blocks.
Behrend travels to Westminster College for a tournament this Friday and Saturday. The blue and white return home Tuesday, September 20 when they face Buffalo State.
