got back on track Saturday, pounding Allegheny Mountain Collegiate
Conference (AMCC) rival Penn State Altoona in three games 30-24, 30-17,
30-18.
Junior middle hitter Elaine Voltz (Saxonburg/Knoch) led Behrend with 19 kills and three blocks. Junior outside hitter Lisa Wagner (Laurel/New Castle) put away ten kills to go along with ten digs, while fellow junior outside hitter Karla Murray (North East/North East) recorded eight kills and eight digs. Freshman defensive specialist Brittany Hennessy had 14 digs.
With the win, Behrend
improved to 14-7 (2-0 AMCC) for the season. The Behrend Lions play again at
home Tuesday, October 4, when they
host conference opponent Hilbert at 7
p.m.
