Behrend Volleyball Leading AMCC

Penn State Behrend Volleyball currently sits alone atop the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference standings with a 4-0 record in AMCC action.  Overall the Behrend Lions are 16-7 and have won nine of their last ten matches.

As a team Behrend leads the conference in digs and assists, and also has numerous individuals having impressive seasons.  Senior setter Amanda Evans (Upper St. Clair/Upper St. Clair) is leading the AMCC in assists as she has piled up 849 through 78 games, good for a 10.88 assists/game average.  Junior middle hitter Elaine Voltz (Saxonburg/Knoch) ranks first in attack percentage (.354), second in kills per game (4.08) and second in blocks per game (1.00).  Junior outside hitter Lisa Wagner (New Castle/Laurel) is fourth in kills per game (3.64) and fifth in digs per game (3.76).   

This week the blue and white are on the road for two matches, October 11 at Fredonia and October 12 at Lake Erie.  They return home Saturday, October 15 when they host Pitt-Greensburg and Buffalo State in a tri-match beginning at 11:00 a.m.
