Voltz and Wagner Earn Milestones for Behrend Volleyball

Two players for Penn State Behrend’s women’s volleyball team recently earned statistical milestones.  Junior middle hitter Elaine Voltz (Saxonburg/Knoch) passed the 1,000 kills mark for her career on Wednesday when she recorded 13 kills against Medaille to give her 1,003 for her career.  Also on Wednesday, junior outside hitter Lisa Wagner (New Castle/Laurel) went past 1,000 digs for her career as she tallied 14 digs to total 1,006 for her career

Voltz and Wagner have enjoyed outstanding season in 2005 in leading the Behrend Lions to a 23-7 overall record.  Voltz leads the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) in hitting percentage (.364) and kills per game (4.15).  Wagner ranks fourth in the AMCC in kills per game (3.65) and fourth in digs per game (3.59).                 Elaine Voltz

The Behrend women’s volleyball team (23-7, 8-0 AMCC) has clinched the #1 seed for the AMCC Championships which will be held at the Junker Center at Penn State Behrend on November 4 and 5.  Behrend closes out the regular season tomorrow when they host Mt. Aloysius at 1:00 p.m.
