Behrend Volleyball to
Host Invitational
Penn
State Behrend volleyball (1-0) has invited five other schools from
around the area to take part in the annual Behrend Invitational on
September 8-9. Bethany, Fredonia, Medaille, D'Youville, and
Kenyon will travel to the Junker on Friday for the round robin style
tournament.
The blue and white enter the tournament at 1-0 after beating Thiel on Wednesday, September 6, in four games. Behrend will look to better their tournament performance of a year ago when they went 3-1 and finished tied with Washington and Jefferson for second place. Fredonia took the Invitational last season after going 4-0 on the Junker floor.
At the conclusion of the tournament, an All-Tournament Team and Tournament MVP will be announced. Last year, the MVP award was given to Traci Pieczynski of Fredonia. Making the All-Tournament Team from Behrend was Elaine Voltz (Saxonburg/Knoch).
