Behrend Adds Walther, Masters to Volleyball Staff

The Behrend Lions have announced the hiring of Michelle Walther and Carol Masters for the volleyball staff.

"I'm excited to add talented staff members like Michelle and Carol," said second-year head coach Kellie Diehl. "They both bring quality experiences and new ideas to the court. Off the court, both will provide additional support to the recruiting side."

Walther is in her first season as an assistant to the volleyball and softball programs at Penn State Behrend. She was a standout in basketball and softball at Wilmington College. Walther was an all-conference performer and named the MVP of the Quakers softball team as a junior. She earned her bachelor's degree in communication arrts and will begin work on an MBA at Penn State Behrend in the fall.

Masters is in her first year as an assistant for the Behrend Lions.  Masters was a standout player at D'Youville College in Buffalo, New York. In 1995-96, she earned the Volleyball Coach's Award and was also named the Scholar Athlete of the Year. She graduated from D'Youville with bachelor's and master's degrees in occupational therapy.
