Behrend Shoots Down Blue Devils for the Second Time This Season

volleyball handed the Fredonia Blue Devils (14-11) a 3-0 defeat for the second time
this season on Tuesday, October 10. The women won 30-15, 30-24, and
30-23 to improve their mark to a stellar 20-2.
Again senior middle hitter Elaine Voltz (Saxonburg/Knoch) was dominant as she rang up 12 kills and four blocks. Sophomore defensive specialist Brittany Hennessy (Hopewell/Hopewell) led the way defensively, accumulating 21digs.
Also chipping in big was senior outside hitter Lisa Wagner (New Castle/Laurel) with 11 kills, and freshman setter Brooke Gallentine (Mt. Pleasant/Southmoreland) who put up 33 assists and 12 digs.
Look for women's volleyball back in the Junker Center for a
tri-match on
Saturday, October 14. The blue and white will battle AMCC rival
Frostburg State at 11:00 a.m. before facing Dickinson at 3:00 p.m.
